The Chinese airline, Hainan Airlines, has its head office in Haikou, the capital of Hainan province. From its main hub airports in Haikou and Peking, Hainan Airlines operates flights to national and international destinations. Since 2009 airberlin has been marketing flights between Berlin and Peking in cooperation with Hainan. Other major international destinations include Brussels, Budapest, Zurich and Istanbul.

Alongside Olbia, the airline has regional hubs in Florence and Verona. airberlin has been collaborating with Meridiana Fly since 2011. Under the agreement, it is possible to fly from Italy to selected destinations in Germany with airberlin.

Since September 2011, airberlin’s route network has been extended through the codeshare agreement with Pegasus Airlines. This makes it possible to fly to Istanbul and gives access to connections to Izmir and Ankara.

Air Seychelles was founded in 1978 as the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles and began operating long-haul service in 1983. The airline currently offers international flights to Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg and Mauritius operated by its new A330-200. Air Seychelles offers more than 160 domestic scheduled flights per week throughout the archipelago as well as domestic charter flights. The airline has a strategic partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, which has a 40 percent stake in the airline.
