Thessaloniki Macedonia airport is located approx. 13 km south-east of Thessaloniki, near the resort of Mikra directly on the Thermaic Gulf.
To get to the airport by road, take national route 16 (GR-EO16) Thessaloniki-Nea Moudania / Polygyros. The same road, in the direction of Nea Moudania, goes to Chalkidiki Peninsula, and in the direction of Thessaloniki it goes to the city of the same name. The GR-EO16 bypasses the centre of Thessaloniki and joins GR-A2 (motorway 2) at the Evkarpias interchange.

BY RAIL/BY BUS
The number 78 (day-time) and 78N (night-time) bus operates between the airport and the railway station in the centre of Thessaloniki. The journey takes about 50 minutes.
BY TAXI
There is a taxi rank in front of the international and national arrivals area.
The journey to the city centre takes approx. 30 minutes.

There is a large car park.
