The airport is 35 km south-west of Karlsruhe and 12 km west of Baden-Baden. It can be approached via the A 6 Karlsruhe/Basel motorway, exit Baden-Baden (in the direction of Iffezheim).

The no. 205 operates between Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden port and Baden-Baden station, via Hügelsheim and Kartung.
The no. 234 links the airport with Hügelsheim, Iffezheim and Rastatt station.
The no. 140 runs between the airport and Baden-Baden station, the central station at Karlsruhe, the central station at Mannheim and the central station at Heidelberg.
Taxi ranks can be found outside the terminal. The journey from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport to the central railway station in Baden-Baden takes approx. 15 minutes; the fare is approx. € 30.
The short stay car park P16 is right in front of the departures terminal.
Parking charges: The first 20 minutes are free. Thereafter the parking charges are € 0.70/30 minutes, 4 hours or longer € 1.50/every 30 minutes or part thereof, € 30/day.
The long-stay car parks P12, P13, P14, P15 and the underground car park P5 are immediately behind the short-stay car parks or left of the terminal.

There is a cash machine (ATM) at the entrance of the departures terminal.
The terminal has shops that sell newspapers, souvenirs and travel products. There is also a bistro, a beer garden in the security area and two coffee shops.
The airport is fully accessible in accordance with the guidelines issued by the German Federation for the Disabled. There is a special floor guidance system to help visually impaired visitors find their way around the airport. There is a wheelchair service for passengers with limited mobility to allow easy boarding of the aircraft. Parking spaces for the disabled can be found in front of the terminal.
