Schiphol Airport is approx. 15 km south-west of Amsterdam city centre and can be reached in approx. 30 to 45 minutes. Cities like The Hague, Rotterdam or Haarlem can be reached within an hour, using the A4 highway.

There is a railway station right underneath the central hall of the terminal building (Schiphol Plaza). Direct trains run between the airport and Amsterdam’s central station (Centraal Station). The service operates every 15 minutes from 6:00–24:00 h and hourly during the night. The journey takes approx. 20 minutes and costs approx. 3 €.
There is also a direct train connection between Schiphol and Amsterdam’s RAI congress centre. These trains run every 15 minutes between 5:25 and 0:10 h.
The bus station is located just outside the Schiphol Plaza exit. The "Zuidtangent" (South Tangent) provides a fast and comfortable bus link to towns such as Haarlem, Hoofddorp, Amstelveen and Amsterdam Southeast.
The Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle (tel.: 31(0)38-39 4741) offers a direct link between the airport and more than 100 hotels in Amsterdam. Many hotels operated their own shuttle service. Hotel buses stop in front of arrivals hall 3.
The taxi rank is in front of Schiphol Plaza. The journey to the city centre takes approx. 15 minutes.
Short stay car parking (up till 2 days):
Parking P1 and P2 for short term parking are within walking distance of the airport. P1 is closest to terminal 3, where the airberlin ticket desk and check-in counters are located. The parking charge is € 1.90 per 30 minutes or € 26 per day.
Long stay car parking:
Parking P3 is connected to the central hall (Schiphol Plaza) with a free shuttle service, departing every 10 minutes (24 hours a day) taking approx. 10 minutes. The parking charges are € 50 per 72 hours and € 5.50 per each subsequent 5 hours.

Information desks can be found in Schiphol Plaza before passport control, in arrivals halls 2 and 3, and also in the waiting room beyond passport control.

At the left luggage office you can safely store your luggage for up to one month. The left luggage office is open daily from 07:00-22:45 h and is located in the basement between Arrivals 1 and 2.
Left luggage lockers can be found in several areas of the terminal. The charges are: € 4-9.

The lost property office is located in the basement between Arrivals 1 and 2.

In the Airport Business Center you can, for instance, rent a fully equipped meeting room, as well as an office complete with a fax machine, personal computer and telephone whereas the Skyport Business Center offers a location for meetings for 2 to 20 persons that can be reached directly from Arrivals and Departures.

There are several money exchange services before and beyond Passport Control, of which most are opened from 06:00-21:00 h. During and outside opening hours you can use automatic teller machines (some of which have foreign exchange functions).
Schiphol Plaza’s shopping centre, before Passport Control, is open to everyone. After Passport Control the See Buy Fly shopping centre offers a wide range of top brands (tax free with the exception of liquor and tobacco for passengers flying within the EU).
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is well equipped to provide access for passengers with restricted mobility. The airport has telephones suitable for the disabled and wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge. Parking spaces for disabled passengers can be found in car parks P1 and P2, as well as on car park P3.
