Hamburg airport is approx. 8 km north-west of the city centre. Leave the A7 motorway at the exit signed "Schnelsen-Nord", or the A1 and A24 motorways at the exit signed "Horn".

The S-Bahn (suburban rail network) line S1 operates every 10 minutes between Hamburg Airport and Hamburg’s central railway station, Hauptbahnhof, a journey of only 25 minutes. The "Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)" S-Bahn station is directly in front of the terminals and is easily reached by lift, escalator or stairs.
There are taxi ranks in front of both terminals. The journey into the city takes about 30 minutes and the fare is approx. € 20.
The multi-storey car parks P1 and P2 provide parking free of charge for 15 minutes; further parking charges are € 3/hour and € 19/day.
The holiday car park P8 and the holiday multi-storey car park P9 are guarded round the clock. A courtesy (free) shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes (4:00–24:00 h) from here directly to the individual terminals.
Charges car park P8: € 10/day, € 52/7 days and € 60/14 days.
Charges multi-storey car park P9: € 12/day, € 62/7 days and € 75/14 days.
You will find an information desk on level 1 of both terminals 1 and 2.

14 conference rooms between 22 and 172 m² in size and state-of-the-art technical equipment are available at the Airport Conference Centre (ACC) in terminal 2. The ACC also offers an extensive business service: telephone, fax and copying.

Banks and cash machines are available in terminals 1 and 2.
In terminals 1 and 2 you will find a wide range of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, boutiques etc. before and after the security checks.
Hamburg airport has good disabled access and facilities. Parking spaces for the disabled are located near the entrances and exits and next to the lifts in the multi-storey car parks.
