Suvarnabhumi Airport / New Bangkok Airport is in Racha Thewa, 30 km east of Bangkok. There are various routes to the airport, the fastest being via the Bangkok - Chon Buri motorway. The exit to the airport is clearly marked. In Thailand motorists drive on the left.

With the express train "Suvarnabhumi airport link express" (SARL) one associates in 15 minutes nonstop between the airport and the railway station Makkasan in the city center. Up to the end of the year 2010, the trip 100 Baht costs (approx. 2.40 EUR), after that 150 Baht.
The trip with the "city Line" is cheap, but slower. This train starts in Phaya Thai, a northern district of the inner cities, and brings passengers in a half hour to the airport. Underway it holds at five stations. Until end of the year 2010, a trip 15 Baht costs (approx. 36 cents), after that between 15 and 45 Baht.
There are four express buses to the city centre of Bangkok and a single fare costs 150 baht. The Airport Express no. 1 bus goes to Silom Road, no. 2 goes to Khao San Road, no. 3 to Central World via Sukhumvit Road and no. 4 to Hua Lamphong central railway station, also stopping at the Victory Monument. Buses operate between 05.00 h and 24:00 h and depart from the stops outside level 1.
There are also public transport buses that run from Transportation Centre to all parts of the city or regions in the vicinity. Shuttle buses link the airport and the Transportation Centre.
There is a taxi rank in front of the arrivals hall. The journey to Bangkok’s city centre costs approx. 300 – 400 baht, plus charges of approx. 60 baht.
A multi-storey short-stay car park is in front of the terminal, and parking charges are 25 baht/hour, 250 baht/day.
The area designated for long-stay parking is to the left of the entrance to the airport. On the right side of the road leading to the terminal there is a large area where cars can be parked free of charge.
There are several information desks in the departures hall and near the exits in the arrivals hall.

Bureaux de change can be found in the arrivals hall. ATMs (cash machines) are located at various places in the terminal.
Cafés and restaurants are mainly located on level 4 (departures level). A large number shops can also be found there.
The airport is easily accessible to disabled passengers and provides facilities such as lifts, toilets and telephones for the disabled. Parking facilities for the disabled are available in the multi-storey car park.
