The oneworld alliance
The oneworld alliance unites a number of the leading international airlines. Nearly one million passengers are transported every day on around 9,000 flights, producing annual revenues of more than 100 billion US dollars.
The history of oneworld
February 1999: oneworld, which was launched by American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Qantas, starts its operations with the slogan:"oneworld revolves around you".
September 1999: Finnair and Iberia join oneworld
June 2000: LAN joins oneworld
April 2007: Royal Jordanian, Malév Hungarian Airlines and Japan Airlines join oneworld
November 2009: Mexicana joins oneworld
November 2010: S7 Airlines joins oneworld
20.03.2012: airberlin became a full member, NIKI became an affiliate member of the alliance.
February 2013: Malaysia Airlines joins oneworld
The vision of oneworld
The oneworld alliance relives its own vision: "To generate more value for customers, shareholders and employees than any airline can achieve by itself", by providing its customers with excellent service through its longtime experience and its high-quality approach. All oneworld customers are treated as the own customers by each oneworld member. Furthermore, all oneworld employees should be
able to answer oneworld customer queries at the first point of contact.
