Fly your Christmas tree for free with Air Berlin
Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without a tree. So why not take it with you on holiday?
Leading low-cost carrier Air Berlin is allowing passengers to transport their festive fir for free this year, wherever they are flying on the airline’s extensive route network.
Titus Johnson, Air Berlin country manager UK and Ireland, commented:
“Most of the demand for this comes from our German customers – it seems they can’t bear to be parted from their trees at Christmas. After all, it was Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, who brought the tradition with him to England in the first place!
“As our present to everyone, we will carry the trees without making a charge. The offer is another example of the great complimentary services you get flying with Air Berlin.
Air Berlin will transport trees of up to two metres (6ft 6ins) in height free of charge in the cargo compartment until Christmas Eve (December 24). To qualify, customers simply need to notify the airline’s call centre at least 24 hours in advance of travel.
Flights are available via Air Berlin’s website (www.airberlin.com), from the company’s service centre (Tel. 01805 - 737 800) and through main travel agents.
