Earning miles with American Airlines
and US Airways
topbonus members are able to earn topbonus status and award miles on the entire route network of airberlin oneworld® airline partner American Airlines and its affiliate airlines American Eagle and AmericanConnection, as well as US Airways. Just enter your topbonus number when booking a flight or present your topbonus Card at the airport check-in desk. The number of miles accrued will depend on the booking class and the flight segment as shown below:

Award flights can be booked as one-way and return flights. Taxes, fees and charges will be charged separately and can only be paid by credit card. The amount of miles outlined in the redemption chart refers to one-way award flights.
A flight from Berlin (TXL) via Frankfurt (FRA) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) requires 30,000 miles in Economy Class and 60,000 miles in Business Class. For roundtrips the double amount of miles is required.
Please note: All award flights are only bookable exclusive taxes, fees and fuel surcharges and the amount of miles outlined in the award chart below refers to one-way award flights.

Retroactive mileage credit
If your topbonus award miles for flights with American Airlines and its affiliates American Eagle and AmericanConnection since 29th September 2011, or for flights with US Airways since 31st March 2014 have not been automatically credited to your account – or you forgot to present your topbonus Card at Check-in – don’t worry! You can claim any outstanding miles easily here ». Please note: topbonus status miles can only be credited for American Airlines flights from 20th March 2012, and for US Airways flights from 31st March 2014!

Priority on Standby & Waitlists at the airport
topbonus status members enjoy priority on waitlists and when travelling on standby on all oneworld flights. This benefit is available in accordance with the individual policy of the oneworld member airline operating the flight.
topbonus Gold and Platinum Card holders can enjoy the benefit of Priority Boarding on all flights operated by oneworld airlines, where this benefit is offered.
Just present your valid oneworld boarding pass and your topbonus Gold or Platinum Card and enjoy the benefits of the oneworld Business Class Lounges! Holders of a Platinum Card holders can additionally enter the oneworld First Class Lounges with a valid oneworld boarding pass.
Please note: Lounge access is only possible on the outbound flight segment with a valid boarding pass. Access upon arrival at the airport of final destination is not permitted.
Every topbonus Platinum and Gold Card holder now has an increased luggage allowance on every oneworld flight. For the maximum weight of your additional piece of luggage please refer to the luggage regulations of the oneworld airline you wish to fly with.
Security Fast Lane

Priority Baggage Handling
As a topbonus Gold and Platinum Card holder you can enjoy the benefit of Priority Baggage Handling on all flights operated by oneworld airlines, where this benefit is offered. Your checked baggage marked as Priority Baggage will be unloaded first from the airplane and conveyed to the baggage claim.
