Silver Upgrade

You can upgrade to topbonus Silver status if you fly with airberlin or NIKI 24 times within 12 months (e.g. one return trip per month) or if you have earned 25,000 status miles in the same period. Of course this benefit also applies to the renewal of your Silver status.

Conditions

Only flights paid in full in the FlyClassic and FlyFlex fare categories and flights booked in airberlin Business Class are included in the calculation of the number of flights taken in order to qualify for an Upgrade. These flights must be booked with airberlin (AB) or NIKI (HG) flight numbers and be eligible for mileage credit.


In particular, the following flights cannot be used to qualify for a potential Upgrade or to maintain topbonus Silver status:

  • Flights booked in the JustFly fare category
  • Award or free flights
  • Flights operated and sold by airline partners
  • Flights operated by airberlin or NIKI  but sold by an airline partner through a codeshare agreement
  • Flights booked in connection with other promotional benefits, e.g. city tour pass, Europe Pass, Semester ticket, etc.
