The Friedrichshafen airport is situated approximately 5 km northeast of downtown Friedrichshafen. Approach via the highways B30/B31 and then follow the signage for the airport.

Trains run several times every hour between the airport and downtown Friedrichshafen. The ride from the airport to the city of Friedrichshafen on the Bodensee-Oberschwaben train only takes a few minutes. A one-way ticket costs about 1.80 EUR .
The airport is well integrated into the public mass passenger transportation system.

A taxi ride from the airport to the Friedrichshafen train station takes about 10 minutes and costs about 10 EUR.
Car parks P1, P2 and PB are situated directly across from the terminal building. Car parks P3, P6 and P4 are located nearby.

Short stay car park:
Car parks P1 and P2 are recommended as short-term car parks.
P1: 1.50 EUR/hour, 17 EUR/day, 17 EUR for every additional 24 hour period
P2: No charge for up to 30 minutes, 1.50 EUR after 31 minutes to 1 hour, 3 EUR for every additional hour
Long stay car park:
Areas P3 and P4 with the long-term parking are directly near the terminal building.
The following charges apply there:
P3: 1 EUR/hour, 13 EUR/day, 13 EUR for every additional 24 hour period
P4: 18 EUR/for up to 24 hours, 36 EUR/for up to 48 hours, 42 EUR/ for up to 8 days,
72 EUR/ 9-15 days, 98 EUR/16-22 days

LOST PROPERTY OFFICE
If you have forgotten or lost something at the airport, please make direct contact with the Information Desk in the Arrivals hall. Items that are found will be kept at the airport for one week and are then taken to the City of Friedrichshafen’s Lost and Found Office.
There are three air-conditioned conference rooms of various sizes on the first upper level of the airport building. Conference technology and catering can be ordered and paid for in advance.

An EC ATM is available to you between the Arrivals and Check-In areas.
There is an adequate range of retail shops, both in the area that is accessible to every visitor as well as in the area reserved solely for the passengers. In addition, there are individual cafes, bars and restaurants.
The airport is extremely accessible for travellers with limited mobility. If you are in possession of a handicapped ID, then you can park at a reduced charge in car park P3 at the airport (at the rates quoted for P4, see the Parking heading). Pay the reduced charge for this by presenting your handicapped ID and your parking ticket at the Information Desk. Persons with a category BI or AG Handicapped ID can park free of charge in car park P2. The airport is also equipped with elevators and handicapped washroom facilities.
