Check-in closing times at our departure airports
To ensure that the check-in procedure is problem-free and that the aircraft can take off on time, please note the following:
- As a rule, our check-in desks open 120 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- For departures to the USA and Canada you can check in up to 180 minutes before your scheduled departure time, and for departures from the USA and Canada up to 240 minutes beforehand.
- The check-in for short and medium-haul flights will be closed from 1 August 2017 45 minutes before departure. For long-haul flights and flights from / to North Africa and Tel Aviv, check-in is possible until 60 minutes before departure.
Please note that when travelling with animals to be carried in the hold, check-in closes 60 minutes before take-off for short and medium-haul flights and 90 minutes before take-off for long-haul flights.
We are unable to check in passengers arriving at the check-in desk after the check-in deadline. These passengers lose their entitlement to be carried on the flight and do not have any right of reimbursement, issue of a credit note or free rebooking. This check-in deadline will remain the same even if the departure of the flight is delayed.
Even if you have checked in online or by mobile, you must be in possession of your boarding pass and have checked in your baggage before the published check-in deadline.
Passengers who have used the online check-in option (Web Check-in) and who are only carrying cabin baggage should arrive at the appropriate gate by the time shown on their boarding pass.
Please also note that, depending on the airport, the time you spend waiting at the check-in desk and at the security controls is likely to vary. You should also consider that you might have to travel considerable distances within the airport.
