Damage & Loss
In matters of baggage damage, airberlin works together with the company Dolfi 1920. The service includes inspection of the damaged baggage item and the option to have it repaired or to receive a straightforward replacement item of baggage.
In many countries, Dolfi 1920 offers a free collection and delivery service for the baggage, avoiding any complicated processes and additional costs.
How do I report damage?
In the event of damaged baggage, please contact the local baggage counter (Lost & Found) to report the damage directly upon arrival.
If this is not possible, a written complaint should be submitted to our partners » (link opens in new window) within 7 days of receipt of the baggage.

Damage to content
In the event of damage to content items, please report the damage immediately after discovery of the damage, alternatively within 7 days of receipt of the baggage, using the airberlin online complaint form »
Are you missing anything from your reclaimed baggage? The loss must be reported immediately after discovery, or within at least 7 days of receipt of the baggage by airberlin. Please submit the airberlin online complaint form ».
In the event of baggage loss (baggage misdirection), please report the loss at the baggage counter (Lost & Found) directly upon arrival.
In the event of a baggage search, please address any queries in the first five days to the airport baggage tracing service where you reported your loss. Contact details can be found in the upper section of your loss report.
If your missing baggage has not been found within 5 days, please contact our baggage tracing service, which will be responsible for the continued search after 5 days:

Missing personal items from the cabin?
Then please contact the Lost & Found at your arrival airport. If the demand is unsuccessful, please contact our baggage collection center from the 20th of the following month.
